The final year in high school is critical for students who want to pursue their college education in Ontario. During this time, they must start looking into OUAC programs to plan their future. Additionally, they must acquire their OUAC login details from OUAC.on.ca and fulfill all the requirements for smooth-sailing enrolment. Students may consider using the Ontario University Applications Centre if they are unqualified or don’t want to get an OCAS login.

If you are new to OUAC programs, this guide has everything you must know to navigate college admissions in Ontario.

When to consider OUAC

The OUAC deals with admission applications for undergraduate, rehabilitation sciences, medical, teacher, and law education in Ontario. As such, students are allowed to sign up for OUAC login credentials under the following conditions:

·  They are currently taking courses at an Ontario high school and are under 21 years old.

·  They are applying for their first year of an undergraduate degree or diploma program at an Ontario university.

·  They can get their OSSD (Ontario Secondary School Diploma) by the end of the current school year.

·  They haven’t been out of high school for over seven months.

·  They have not started at any university, career college, or college.

If you meet these requirements, you will find many OUAC programs available to you. Just be sure to do your homework and determine the best school and courses that can help with your future career and aspirations.

Is OCAS for you?

The Ontario College Application Service (OCAS) also handles admission applications for colleges in the province. College programs in Ontario are more flexible compared to university degrees. Plus, they are more supportive and economical, and that’s why some students may prefer getting OCAS login credentials.

To qualify, students must have an OSSD or any equivalent qualification. Those who want to join graduate certificate programs must have a prior university or college certificate, degree, or diploma.

More considerations for OUAC

Research different universities and know their OUAC codes for the respective programs you’re interested in. Moreover, note the admission requirements, eligibility criteria, and deadlines for your preferred OUAC programs. When you’re ready, secure your OUAC login credentials to apply and get your reference number. You’ll also need your login details to verify your 105 application and make any changes. Be sure to check your email’s spam folder, just in case emails from OUAC and prospective universities end up there.
