Simple decoration ideas for halloween at home

With Halloween almost around the corner everyone is worried about the decorations. No one wants to stay behind in the race of making their house the spookiest. From a peg leg pirate to those spider webs everything is used to make the children asking for treats run screaming.

From family halloween costumes to spooky dinners and satisfying candy to ghoulish decor, we will help you figure out how you should decorate your come this halloween. Here are some things that you can do at your home with low cost options

DIY Spooky Spiders

Imagine an entrance filled with lots of Spiders hanging from the porch. People will go scream when they see them. The easy way of making spooky spiders is by using pipe cleaners and a styrofoam ball. First you need to push the pipe cleaners into the Styrofoam balls parallel to each other and bend them to form the spider legs. If you plan on making them extra creepy, you can twist some of the pipe cleaners together in a weird way. Once done you can hang these spooky spiders inside your home or outside on the main door for a creepy Halloween feeling.

Spooky Halloween Dinner

Halloween without a spooky dinner is wasted. The main event is the dinner itself. Turn those western bar stools into the ghostly ones by attaching a few artificial bones that you can easily get anywhere. The Internet is filled with Halloween recipes which you must check ranging from Mini Monster Burgers to Witch's Brew and Maggoty dustbin pasta. You can level up your game by changing the cutlery from normal plates and bowls to the ones based on halloween theme. The skull bowls and goblets are more popular these days. Some people also serve Blood Sangria as Drinks to make it look like you are drinking blood.

Children’s Hell

In recent years the concept of creating a Children’s Hell is quite popular in western countries. The idea revolves around having all the things that the parents stop their children from trying available at the same place specially for Halloween. Seeing the Ice cream sign, Haunted House, Video Games, soft drinks, sweets all at the same time children lose their cool and often go crazy. It's a ghastly delight for them available just for one day. Some people even go as far as installing Halloween rides right in their big backyards given your pocket can support it you can also give it a try. You are sure to be children's favourite after you implement this idea, not sure if their parents would like it.

Ghost Trees

One of the popular Decor ideas for Halloween are the Ghost Trees. They are easy to make with things available right at your home.

  • First you need to cut a muslin cloth into a square shape. You can also use similar lightweight materials or crepe paper. One thing to keep in mind is that the size of the material that you are using will vary according to the size of cotton ball or rug ball. Before you start making your ghost it's advisable to have a trial run first.
  • You need to wrap the muslin cloth around the cotton ball or rug ball, you can then tie a matching thread, maybe black around the base of the cotton ball in order to secure it in place making a basic structure. Moreover if you're not comfortable using a needle & thread, you can always switch to a rubber band instead.
  • Then use a black pen or marker to draw a spooky ghost face.
  • Then use an invisible thread to hang the ghosts on the trees outside your home.

Scary Traps

Halloween is all about scary surprises be it a rat trap or a skull falling down from the attic. Nothing can beat the chills that you get when you explore the Haunted Houses. The unexpected traps that pop up will often make children go running out screaming on top of their lungs. Stepping on a water balloon filled with ketchup will catch everyone off guard. A fake Axe charging towards those who ring the doorbell will skip their heartbeat for a second. You can also add a fake spider while handing out candy to the kids.

Overall Halloween is not just about scaring people but also enjoying the night doing and eating your favourite candies. Those Pumpkin Lamps staring at you along with all the decoration ideas we suggested you are sure to have the scariest halloween party in your neighbourhood.
