Public vs Private vs Hybrid cloud

Cloud computing supports businesses with many operations such as big data analysis, CRM or e-mail address validation. It is a cost-effective solution as users can pay only for the actual resource usage and not waste their budget on resource storage that will not be utilized. It also provides an efficient disaster recovery system and enables work from any place in the world as long as the user has Internet access.

Businesses can now choose between moving their operations into a public, private or hybrid cloud:

Public cloud

So far, storing data in a public cloud has been the most popular solution among cloud users. Data is stored in the provider’s data center and it is the provider’s sole responsibility to support and maintain the infrastructure. The services are sold on-demand which means users pay only for the actual storage and not waste their budget on more than is utilized.

Private cloud

Private cloud services provide separate environments for individual clients, which is why this solution is often thought to be more secure than the public cloud. It also means that the cloud can be adjusted specifically to the individual user and their objectives. It is also a better suited solution for companies which already have their own data centers and would like to operate in the current system and have more control over it.

Hybrid cloud

Another solution is to adjust the company’s specific goals to the type of cloud services. Some companies opt to store their more sensitive data in a private storage while leaving less sensitive operations, such as running applications, in a public cloud. As long as the services are integrated, it can be a good way to make the most of both platforms.
