Why I Hate Adobe Reader

Adobe Reader is one of the programs that we all desire, everybody has become obsessed with sending documents in PDF format and as long as this is happening we shall all desire it. Sure there are a couple free alternatives but there perhaps not quite well-known and they will haven't obtained the exposure they should are very popular compared to Adobe's fantastic PDF reader.

So what precisely can it be I despise about doing it? Well like everything else Adobe make they seem to be making regular upgrades and each variant is getting bigger and bigger. Lets view, Version 5 might start, print and view pdf's, it had been 8.4M B. Version 9 will start, view and erm, publish pdf's, it is 36mb. Where on earth did the excess 27.6M B come in?! The only real difference I could see each new variant is the reader gets increasingly bloated and lethargic.

Why can not Adobe simply leave the damn thing alone? I mean I realize that security updates are crucial and new releases will include them, but surely that can't account fully for the excess size which Adobe Reader currently communicates with it. And what about Adobe Updater? Why does this thing keep upgrading, what can it be updating and won't it expire?! I really don't want/don't need any updates for my Adobe Reader or some other of my lovely Adobe products!

Just think, in five years time we'll soon be on Version 1-5, we will proceed on their website to download it and there it will likely soon be: Adobe Reader Version 1-5 (25GB) Although I expect by then somebody has marketed a favorite and totally free alternative that is slightly more lightweight and less annoying than Adobe Reader!

To finish off Id like to say Foxit Reader will be the closest choice we now have to Adobe's lovely reader and its free!
