The Bibangwa School: A Handout for Children in Crisis from Peter Virdee

“My ambition is to carry on and spend more time doing my philanthropy work. This gives me a sense of existence. It’s my duty to give something back.”

Peter Virdee UK

The Bibangwa School is set on the High Plateau in South Kivu, the Democratic Republic of Congo. Before the support of Peter Virdee, the school is in very drastic condition, the absolute dark from inside, without any desk and bench, the roof and walls are made of stick and mud.

Talking about the education, is also in a pathetic estate, teachers with no proper qualification and training were handling the future of Bibangwa.

With the handout of Virdee Foundation along with the Parents of Bibangwa, rejuvenates the shape and estate of Bibangwa School that has 165 students to get educated. It helps to build a school with Solid brick with deep foundations, metal roofing sheets, and cement flooring.

Every child now has a space to sit comfortably and learn in a stable and fit capacity thanks to the new desks and seats in the school’s six classrooms.

As in past the used to lean over books or write in books perched on their laps. Every classroom has windows to let the natural light and air to flood the classrooms, allowing children to focus on their studies.
