How to Speed Up Your Windows 10 PC?

Want to increase the efficiency of your computer? If your Windows 10 PC works slowly, then read on to know about the ways to speed it up.

Some tips to make your Windows 10 work faster!

Modify the power settings

Note that if you are using power saver mode in your system, then it will make your system work a bit slow. The power saver mode of your device makes your system work slow by making it save energy. By switching the power plan to Balance will make your system work better than earlier.

You can do it by going through the given below instructions.

  1. Firstly, go to the Control Panel.
  2. After that, click on Hardware and Sound.
  3. Next, press on Power Options.
  4. Then, look that you will generally find in total two options. The first option will be the balanced option, and the other will be the Power Saver.

Turn off Windows Tips and Tricks Feature

This feature of tips and tricks hardly helps you. By having this feature enabled the Windows will get permission to keep looking at your work done in your system. Even this gets annoying. This feature does slow down your device. So it’s better to turn off. You can do it by reading the given below steps.

  1. Firstly, press on the Start option.
  2. After that, click on Settings.
  3. Next, click on System.
  4. Then, click on Notifications and actions.
  5. Look that under the Notifications you’ll be able to get the option of ‘Get tips, tricks, and suggestions as you use Windows.’
  6. Lastly, switch off the option ‘Get tips, tricks, and suggestions as you use Windows’ by pushing the toggle towards the leftwards.

Modify the visual settings

Windows 10 has got some lovely features that can make the visual display screen better. On new computers, these features don’t make any difference in the working of the computer. But sadly, on older computers, it does make a lot of difference. The significant difference is that it makes the computer work slowly as compared to earlier.

Don’t allow OneDrive to synchronize

The OneDrive present in Windows 10 manages all the files on computers. The best part feature of it is that OneDrive offers backup to help you get back the data if ever you lost them, but only after synchronizing the data. This synchronization can make your system slow. But instead of directly turning off the synchronization, it will be better to check it before turning it off that whether it is the synchronization that is slowing down your device or some other reason behind it. You can check it by doing the given below steps-

  1. Firstly, make a right click on the OneDrive (cloud) symbol in the notification location. It will be situated towards the rightward side.
  2. Next, from the popup window that gets displayed, select ‘Pause synchronizing’ and choose 120 minutes.
  3. Then, observe that it will get paused for 120 minutes.
  4. Lastly, check whether is there any change in the speed of your computer.
