You can find tons of questions related to job interviews on the web, but these are the hot ones you should prepare for!

Hot interview questions asked to candidates!

Examine these questions and their response so you cannot embarrass yourself in front of the hiring manager!

No.1- How would you handle a situation where your team opposed an idea you bought?

This is a trick question where you would be tested for your patience and positive response. You must make sure that when you think about this situation, you don’t get frustrated. Rather you should approach the situation from a place of understanding, compromise, and compassion. You must tell the manager that you would get feedback from your team and ask for their opinion and the reason for the opposition. You can also propose that the team be comfortable with the old ways so instead of pushing them to follow a new idea, you would gradually start training them.

No.2- How would you respond if the team or one of your employees isn’t meeting your expectations?

This is another trick question to check your frustration in the workplace. An ideal answer would be to tell the interviewer that this is a normal practice in the workplace, and I have this conversation a lot of times with former employees of mine. The key to a successful & productive workplace is transparency, so you have to communicate the flaws and shortcomings of the employee to be alarmed by the situation and improve their productivity. You should never respond to this question by saying that you would fire the employee right away!

No.3-What would you do if you were assigned a task along with a colleague on a project, but you two couldn’t seem to work together?

This query is asked to test your ability to resolve conflicts. You should positively respond to this question by telling them that you would compromise and put extra effort into the task’s success. You can also tell them that you would talk to your colleague and divide the work to do the tasks in which he is comfortable and in the same way you can do yours. You must also showcase your ability and interest to co-work with any other person in the team!

No.4- What would you do if you worked hard on an assignment & were almost done with it when the goals/priorities were changed?

As an interested candidate, you must show that you are flexible in all sorts of situations and can manage these unusual situations. You must always tell the interviewer that you would put in extra effort and spend extra hours filling the gap and completing the task as per the new goal or priority. You must tell them that this is a common workplace practice, and you would calmly deal with it.

No.5- How would you handle criticism from a senior?

This question is asked to analyze whether you can accept and learn from your mistakes. You must show emotional maturity when you are asked this type of question and assure them that you would take the criticism positively and construct yourself in a better way. Show them that you are a coachable candidate!

No.6- What would you do if you were almost done with a task which you started on a tight deadline when you realize you’d made a mistake back in the beginning and you must start over?

You need to understand that no one is perfect. You must positively respond to this question. Tell them that you would investigate your mistakes and errors and try to eradicate their nib issues. If things don’t work out positively, you would be willing to redo the task and learn from the mistakes you have made. This would show your honesty and commitment to work!

No.7- How would you tackle a situation where you are unsatisfied with your role or a certain aspect of your job?

This question should be answered with professionalism and maturity. You can tell them that before starting the job, you thought you would be able to manage the work quite easily, but you face hurdles in the task. Tell them that you would find different ways and set a different routine to tackle the task so that you also enjoy it! You have to show them that you would give importance to mundane tasks!
