Although we all focus on being productive at work, being productive at home is closely related and just as important.

Get enough sleep

Science has proved over and over that sleep deprivation has negative effects on our performance in general. Lack of sleep decreases our concentration, working memory, mathematical capacity, logical reasoning, and coordination. The pre-frontal cortex is particularly vulnerable to a lack of sleep so tasks that require logical reasoning or complex thought will be the most impaired. Take good care of yourself

Drink plenty of water and eat a healthy diet. Be active on a regular basis as our bodies were not designed for a sedentary lifestyle. The healthier you are, the more productive you’ll be.

Where there’s clutter in your home, there will be clutter in you — either physically, mentally, or emotionally. Many psychological studies linked clutter with increased cortisol (stress hormone) levels, depression, negative emotions, and distraction from the focus that kills productivity.  Therefore, decluttering the space you’re in translates to clearing your mind. Rinse and put dishes in the dishwasher after each meal so they don’t pile up. Throw garbage out each night. Get rid of stuff you don’t use.
