Is there anything more frustrating than your label printer breaking down at a time when you're under pressure to get a job? As a label printer, we are well aware of the stress and frustration this causes. In this blog post, we thought we'd share our top tips for fixing the most common faults and issues with Zebra label printers. This includes smaller desktop models such as the Zebra GK420D or Zebra GK420t. What if your Zebra printer does not print anything? Here you can learn and solve your printer problem. Know why the Zebra label printer is not printing correctly. If the problem of Zebra printer not printing anything is still there, you can visit the official website of the printer and get help from there. Support managers will assist you with all issues and queries related to Zebra Services. Contact details are readily available on the official Zebra website.

This is a simple fix, but the most common problem we get over the phone. The first thing to check is the ribbon and labels you are using. There are three types of printing ribbons: wax, wax-resin and resin. In short, wax ribbons are the cheapest and are only suitable for paper labels, while resin ribbons are suitable for synthetics (eg, polypropylene or vinyl.) A wax-resin ribbon is suitable for labels paper or printing on synthetics when printing does not need to be resistant to chemical attack or harsh environments. It is quite common in the workplace for staff to inherit printers and not realize the difference between the print ribbons available on the market.

If you are using the correct ribbon, then try reducing the speed or increasing the printhead temperature to see if this improves print quality. If the coating of the label material you are printing on has changed, it may mean that the print settings need to be adjusted accordingly. This can usually be changed in the settings window when you click to print.

Ideally, you should set the printer temperature as low as possible to achieve satisfactory print quality for your application.

If you are unsure which printer you have (near the edge of the flathead) or which ribbons you should purchase for the best result, simply call Crown for advice on the type and quality that will suit your application and your printer.
