Titleist Pro V1 2021 - What's improved from 2019?

Now, what’s new for 2022 compared to the 2019 offering? The new Pro V1 and Pro V1x balls include a new backbone, casing layer, cover and aerodynamic technology that is said to give golfers a long distance, even rotation and control with greenside, and a soft feel.

As always, each ball offers slightly different performance features to better meet the needs of different golfers.

The Pro V1 offers the perfect combination of speed, spin and feel, and will suit most golfers. It flies a little lower than the Pro V1x and has an intervening track and a very soft feel.

The Pro V1x has a fast, high-performance rate and gives a spin to the golfer at times when he needs it most. The ball is designed for golfers who want a slightly higher trajectory and rotation increase compared to the Pro V1, as well as a solid feel.

The list of new technologies was introduced in the 2021 Pro V1 football class, which Titleist said contributed to their goal of providing 'full functionality and extreme flexibility in all shots in the course.

The redesigned 2.0 ZG Process Cores are responsible for increasing distance in the solid-state of Pro V1 and dual-core Pro V1x.

The fast-paced Casing Layer increases the speed of the ball and reduces the rotation in the long game to get the best results on the tee. This layer is a dynamic, high-speed ionomer originally developed in the Pro V1x Left Dash - a ball originally designed to be used mainly for the Tour and with the same launch features as the Pro V1x, but with a lower spin to be larger. the distance at the end of the bag.

The construction of the softest cover used in Pro V1 or Pro V1, the Urethane Elastomer, adds an extra greenside spin to hopefully give you more control and more confidence in the short game.

There are new Tetrahedral Dimple Designs with round tiles, with 388 dimples on Pro V1 and 348 on Pro V1x. In English, this means that the balls are designed in such a way that each model has a very high distance and alignment of the plane. The Pro V1 maintains the same free-flying ball, while the Pro V1x will fly higher than last year's model.

These simple designs are the first new patterns from 2011 and come after extensive testing of the Titleist Golf Balls Plant over the years to produce the best performance of their balls. Since the Pro V1 first came out, the Titleist R&D department has designed and tested more than 1,900 different aerodynamic patterns, including 60 different versions of the new Pro V1 and 30 repetitions of the Pro V1x.

When a golfer chooses a Pro V1 or ProV1x, they are choosing to work fully. Our R&D and Operations teams spend years developing new technologies in each part of 2021 Pro V1 and Pro V1x. When it comes to the performance and quality of these products, we will continue to do our best to help golfers play their best and shoot their lowest points.

As has always been the case with the new Titleist brand, Pro V1 balls have undergone a Player Assurance process in which the balls are tested and used by PGA Tour stars including Justin Thomas, Adam Scott and Cameron Smith before moving to the market.
