The Only Set Of Tips You Need To Clean Your Soda Gun

A soda gun is a lifeline for bars and movie theaters, which means it gets used every day, all around the clock. Now, with such usage, it makes sense that it will definitely get dirty with time and it would require you to hire a custom beverage systems installation company for repair or replacement.

Hygiene is something that shouldn’t be overlooked no matter what. Besides that, in order to keep the system running smoothly, it has to be cleaned and sanitized on a regular basis.

STEP 1: Start things off with washing your hands with soap and water

STEP 2: Now prepare 2 gallons or more of chlorine-based sanitizer solution in a bucket. Stir until crystals are dissolved. It is highly recommended that you check out the packet for instructions for necessary precautions.

STEP 3: Determine if the nozzle is twist lock or o-ring. Remove the bar gun nozzles by twisting or pulling off the bar gun.

STEP 4: Now, clean nozzles with sanitizer solution and a brush. After that, place nozzles in a sanitizing solution for 3 minutes or more.

Step 5: Once done, it’s time to disassemble the bar gun holster and clean it with the sanitizer solution. Now place the holster in a sanitizing solution for 3 minutes.

STEP 6: Using a clean cloth dipped in sanitizer, clean all parts of the bar gun holster, including the mounting bracket.

Step 7: Place nozzles and holster on a dry, clean cloth. Allow to air dry.

Step 8: Using a clean cloth dipped in sanitizer, completely clean the diffuser and handle.

Step 9: Now it's time for you to clean the grooves of sheathing with a sanitizer solution and dedicated nozzle brush.

Step 10: Clean the grooves of sheathing with a sanitizer solution and dedicated nozzle brush.

Step 11: Empty the ice bin and pour in approximately 1/2 a gallon of or chlorine-based solution.

Step 12: Don't forget to clean all the exterior splash areas around the bar gun, ice bin, and holster with a clean cloth dipped in sanitizer.

Step 13: Once you are done with the exterior, clean all interior sides with a clean cloth dipped in a sanitizer solution. Wipe dry the whole outlet afterwards.

Step 14: After that, wash your hands with soap and water, again.

Step 15: Fill the bar gun ice bin with cubed ice and wait for approximately 15–20 minutes before dispensing drinks.

Step 16: Reinstall bar gun holsters and nozzles once dry. Activate the soda water button for 10 seconds and taste a drink from each beverage.

Final Thoughts

And that’s all that goes into the cleaning of soda guns. However, if the cleaning doesn’t work or it just made things worse, then make sure to call a custom beverage systems installation company, and its team would know what to do.
