Digestive Problems in Children

Stomachaches are a usual complaint among children, and the majority of them are completely normal: they usually indicate that a child ate too much or that he or she has to go to the toilet. But how do you tell when stomach pains are an indication of anything more serious?

Stomachaches that are frequent or chronic may suggest that anything in the digestive system needs medical attention. Keep in mind that children may complain that their stomach hurts when the pain is actually coming from a nearby organ, such as the appendix.
