What Is The Instagram Threads App?


Threads is a recently launched application developed by the Instagram team, which allows users to share text updates and participate in public discussions. Threads offer features such as the ability to like, repost, and reply to posts shared by others. If you're familiar with Twitter, you'll find the Threads interface friendly and welcoming.



Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Meta, shared on his Threads account that the app received over 10 million sign-ups within the initial seven hours of its launch.

How Does the Instagram Threads App Work? 


You can log in using your IG account - There's no need to create a new account, you can even import the same Bio and Link.


Here Are A Few Facts About THREADS:


  • Posts can be up to 500 characters long
  • You can add up to 10 photos
  • You can add videos up to 5 minutes in length
  • You can upload photos and videos together
  • You can hide likes

Steps To Set Up Your Instagram Threads Profile:


Step 1: First download the app from either the iOS App Store or Google Play Store, if it is currently available in your country.


Step 2: To use Threads, you’ll need to sign up for an Instagram account first. If you are already logged into the Instagram app, you will receive a prompt giving you the option to log in using your existing account. Alternatively, you can choose to switch to a different account if desired.


Step 3: Next, you'll be prompted to create your bio. You have the option to write your bio or simply click the "Import from Instagram" button, which will automatically import your bio from your Instagram account.


Step 4: You have the option to decide whether you want your Threads profile to be publicly visible or kept private. If you want to change your Threads profile privacy, you can change it later by clicking on settings.


Step 5: Furthermore, you have the choice to opt for following the same accounts on Threads that you currently follow on Instagram.


Step 6: Lastly, simply follow the remaining instructions, and there you have it — you are now officially a part of Threads.


 How to Post Your First Instagram Threads?


So, you're all set up, and now you'd like to post your first Instagram Thread. Here's how:


First, From your Instagram homepage, locate and tap on the icon resembling a notepad.

Once you access that section, you will be presented with a prompt to write your first post, also known as a thread.

Within this section, you have the freedom to utilize up to 500 characters, mention other users by using the "@" symbol, and incorporate emojis, links, photos, or videos to enhance your post.

When you're ready, hit "Post," and you're done!


Note: 

Please be aware that currently, the functionality for adding hashtags or alternative text to Threads is not available.


How to Delete an Instagram Thread Post


To remove a particular Threads, simply tap on the ellipsis ("...") located in the top right corner of the post.

Afterward, proceed to tap on the "Delete" option, and you'll be all set!
